This vessel works more than one stretch of the river. The direction changes the order of the temples, the number of nights and which city you fly out of.

Accessibility
Who can join this
The vessel and its excursions require a moderate level of mobility. Boarding and disembarkation typically use gangways with steps and handrails; some ports have ramps but not all. Cabins are accessed by internal staircases on many boats, and only a limited number of vessels have elevator access to all decks. Shore excursions include uneven ancient stone, narrow tomb passages, steep steps and sandy surfaces, for example at the Valley of the Kings and Philae Temple. Wheelchair users should notify us at booking so we can request a suitable cabin and arrange assistance, but full independent wheelchair access cannot be guaranteed on every vessel or at every site. Service animals are accepted with advance notice. If you require a wheelchair-accessible cabin or specialised assistance, please contact us before booking so we can confirm availability and make necessary arrangements.

How we travel here
We work with cruise lines and on-the-ground suppliers that prioritize local procurement and lower-impact transport. Shore excursions use modern, air-conditioned coaches supplied by local Egyptian transport companies, typically Mercedes or MAN models fitted with GPS and emission controls. On board, vessels generally operate on mains electricity while in port and generator power while sailing, and we encourage partners to follow fuel-efficiency maintenance schedules. Catering sources fresh produce from regional markets in Luxor and Aswan where available, which supports local farmers and reduces food miles. Housekeeping follows a linen and towel reuse programme when offered by the vessel, and single-use plastics are limited where the cruise line has alternatives. Port fees, crew wages and local guide contracts are paid to Egyptian suppliers, which directs revenue to local communities. If you have specific sustainability requirements, tell us at booking and we will request supplier confirmations.

Jaz Elite Senator Nile Cruise
The cruise sails between Luxor and Aswan, calling at Karnak, the Valley of the Kings, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Philae. The Jaz Elite Senator is an all-suite Nile vessel offering full-board dining and guided excursions. An English-speaking Egyptologist leads small-group visits, limited to a maximum of eight guests per guide. We are a licensed Egyptian tour operator and arrange meet-and-assist services, private deluxe air-conditioned transfers and the on-the-ground excursions listed. Unlike larger mass-market Nile ships, the Jaz Elite Senator provides all-suite accommodation and typically operates with smaller guided groups, which reduces time waiting at sites. Practical departures run from Luxor or Aswan, with a variety of itinerary lengths available.

MayFair Nile Cruise
Board the MayFair Nile Cruise for a five-star voyage along the Nile, sailing from Luxor to Aswan. It sails from Luxor to Aswan. The cruise follows the river corridor where Karnak, Luxor West Bank, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Philae are the classic stops along this stretch. We arrange guided visits, local transfers and Egyptologists to join you at the sites. We arrange private guided visits rather than large coach tours, which keeps group sizes smaller and timings more flexible. Unlike day trips run from Luxor, a multi-day cruise moves you between sites instead of returning each evening to one base. Evenings are typically spent on deck, watching river life and hearing short briefings from your Egyptologist. We are a licensed Egyptian tour operator and coordinate embarkation in Luxor and disembarkation in Aswan.
